My Free Time
When I have free time it’s spent running or cross-country skiing with my wife and family. We’ve been exploring the benefits and freedom of barefoot running and are loving it. Say goodbye to running injuries. We don’t plan on using the barefooting principles in our cross-country skiing.
I love exploring and looking at maps to see where I can explore
I’m in the right place for this – there’s lots of Alaska to explore whether its hiking, fishing, or camping. I’ve been experimenting with creating dehydrated meals for camping (thank you freezerbagcooking)

My Family
I’m saving the best for last. Life is all about family. My wife and I have been married for over 18 years. She was born and raised in Alaska and is a talented writer. She has a blog with over 2,000 readers at scribbit.blogspot.com. I am blessed with four children – Grace, Spencer, David, and Lillian. They are all good kids and are a joy – though they keep me on my toes. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with them. I have great hopes for them.
Other interesting things
I served a mission in southern Texas for two years. I learned how to speak Spanish and taught it at the Missionary Training Center for three years while I attended school at Brigham Young University
